Leesburg, TX
I ventured out past my normal where-a-bouts this weekend and hung my hat (I didn't wear a hat so my levi cutoffs) in Leesburg, TX; population unknown. Its pretty redneck out here, but if you can get past the camo and pools in front yards, there is actually a bit of culture and beauty one tends to forget exists only an hour outside Dallas. You might just have to look a little harder.

Pickwick
I don't know too much about this band except I predict they will make it.
Good cloudy day music by a bay.

When I think of Palm Springs...
None of these images relate to anything I know or have experienced except red lipstick lady, but it might be nice for a day or two to live in Palm Springs....dreaming of summer.

Ron van der Ende
Ron van der Ende work is sick. He is a once trained painter turned sculptor artist who uses found wood to create super realistic bas-reliefs centered around everyday life objects. He employees the original color and texture of the wood to help instill in his viewers mindset the environmental problem we have created within our world. I think his work is very relevant to our day-in-time in a world where we easily forget to embrace the old because were so worried about obtaining the new. Read and interesting article about Ron and the process/ ideas behind his work Here.
