Jason Middlebrook

Jason Middlebrook is a instillation and sculpture artist that uses found wood as a canvas to paint beautiful lines that work with the tree. I am really taken with his choice of color and how he honors the shape of the tree by not manipulating it to be something it's not. I got to looking at some of his other pieces and he was commissioned to re-tile the Q-line in Brooklyn entitled "Brooklyn Seeds". Check out his website and see it for yourself. Hopefully next time I make it out to Brooklyn I'll get to see this.

Christoph Niemann- Illustrator

I found these pictures on the Selby taken of Illustrator Christoph Niemann and his wife Lisa Zeitz house in Berlin. There were tons more photos but the ones that struck me were the pictures of the loo. This (to moi) is such a genius idea for a bathroom; the randomness in the color tile and the pattern in which it was laid is so much fun it reminds you to not take life to seriously.

Chanel Spring 2012

I think Karl knew exactly what every woman would want this spring: pastel everything, lovely feathered frocks, and a bit of glamour. This is one of my favorite runway collections for this upcoming spring.
