last night I ate meat

For the first time in a couple of years (maybe my boyfriend will argue with me because he thinks my memory is that of of a gold fish) I ate a steak last night. I'm not a veggie but just would prefer to eat other animals besides cow. Any way, I don't know if this news is news but I had pictures of meat art in my inspirational folder on my desktop and I thought well why not celebrate being inspired and eating at the same time. I predict this is a once every once-and-a-while thing but I will admit it I missed A1 Steak Sauce. go meat!

Band of Horses remix

I am bummed that Band of Horses is going to be so close to me (Nokia Theatre in Grand Prarie) on thursday an I am not going to see them. Gosh darn work... This is a remix of the popular song "No one's gonna love you more than I do" by Cleo Green/ Paul Epworth. enjoy.

I am a fan

There are still gentlemen left in Manhattan

I think (in general) after people get out of college most tend to drift away from the ones who gave them the inspiration and knowledge to help them succeed in the world, their professors. I am fortunate enough to say that this isn't the case for me.  One of the most amazing, cooky, well dressed, well spoken, inspiring, and vivacious teachers I have ever had wrote a collumn about me and two other women who inspire him on his blog, TheBespokenFor. Professor Knoth, or Ron Knoth who teaches at LIM College in Manhattan writes weekly exerpts on his blog mainly about "mens fashion, life, and everything else."  His language and wonderful expression of words married with pictures is a breath of fresh air for anyone seeking to read about fashion and the world surrounding it. It is my delight and pleasure to call Mr. Knoth a mentor and a friend of mine. He always surprises me with the things he finds and is truely a New York peach. Please visit his blog and if you are intrested, he included me in one of his more recent articles entitled Three Great Women and One Great Store

Professor Knoth, thank you.

Yesterday is just as good as today

My sister introduced me to this band Beirut... yesterday. She is wise and knows how my ears work. This music video is basically a compilation of Americans old video recordings from, what looks like, the 1950's maybe even 60's. Anyone who loves watching other Americans home movies in past decades... this one is for you.
